Colorado, you have a pretty cool state bird, and I can definitely relate to male lark buntings. That's because during the summer months the males are dressed in striking black and white feathers, but when winter arrives they tone down their look to a streaky brown. As someone who dressed colorful and is out and about in the summer, but over the winter hunkers down in more drab, utilitarian clothing, I totally get this.
